That's a great idea. A hybrid Teryx with a buggy rear end, a Herbst trophy truck front end and a v twin motorcycle engine with an auto tranny. Who would have ever imagined that 15 years ago. If it was race ready for 19k, from a reputable large company, that would be a deal. It's a good idea because, Right now a person has to buy a complete utv and then throw away 60% of the vehicle and then buy all the racing parts to replace the stock parts you threw away. That's alot of wasted money, by the time you are done, you have 25k into it and it probably won't even be close to what you are offering for 19k. A combination of proven buggy race parts that are available off the shelf with the teryx drivetrain could cut out alot of wasted money. Hopefully Kawasaki will let you buy just the drivetrain and the lower frame rails because that's about all you would really need from them. Kind of like a cl1 lite or trophy lite concept, except with a teryx drive train. How about a 4 seater along the same lines that you could use for fun, prerunning or an ocassional race? Maybe you could even stretch it 12 inches. You'd probably sell more of those than the two seaters. Just look at how many 20 thousand dollar 4 seat Rhinos are out there that will never be raced. I'm sure those guys would rather have your 4 seater for the same money after they do the math. I've got 14k in my 4 seat teryx and I haven't done any suspension or engine work yet. Your idea is great for a guy like me, I co drove and chased for a score 10 car team for 3 years, I always dreamed of owning a race car, but for 20k there aren't many good racecar options. Your car could be doable for me. Keep the info coming.
