Go to a serious Go Karting racing shop. They sell stick on heel pads made out of foam they come in different thicknesses for racing go karts. My friends son races go karts and when I saw the pads I knew that was the solution. I just cleaned the floor with acetone and peeled off the backing paper and put it where my heel was. They are about 1 inch tall. I doubled mine up. I haven't used it much but I hear the adhesive is super strong so make sure you put it in the right place. I drove around the neighbor hood a few times. It's 100% better for cruising around at low speeds. No ankle strain at all.
