Premium engine oil cooler kits by Benchmark

We have been testing these oil cooler kits for the last few months on stock and modified Teryxs. Here is what we came up with........

Premium quality components and craftsmanship. This kit uses Swedish made SETRAB coolers that are the ultimate in oil coolers. Setrab coolers are used on AMG Mercedes, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc. This cooler kit is so efficient at rejecting heat from the oil that it we elected to build it without a fan. Even in low airflow conditions the surface area of the cooler and internal construction provide superior performance.

We also incorporated a large capacity remote oil filter under the right front fender. This adds simplicity to oil changes while adding significant oil volume to the engine. Total oil system capacity with our kit is nearly 5 quarts! The filter housing comes ready to accept an oil temp or oil pressure sending unit.

All fittings are premium black anodized aerospace quality parts with high pressure hose. Kits available for 08 models and 09+ models.

We have seen an average of 30 degrees reduction in oil temp using this kit.
On some modified engines we have seen oil temps over 260 degrees when not using a cooler.
Using our cooler kit, typical oil temps are just above 212 which allows condensation in the oil to be boiled off, extending oil life.

Kits complete and ready to go. $489.99

This may be a dumb question but....Will it work if your riding in cold conditions or do you some how close it off? I dunno.?

I don't quite understand the second oil filter tho. Is it because you are now running more oil capacity ??

I don't think he is running a 2nd oil filter. The picture at the original filter location is just an adapter to allow for the new out & inbound oil lines. I believe the new filter location is pictured on the passenger side above the A-arms.

My first thought when i new the price was wow expensive. However each piece adds up. The cooler itself is very nice, the adapter is a nice unit also. The brackets look real nice also. I might have to do this before presidents day.

Chris, would this help with the general overheating issues the 08 and 09's have or is it more of a race machine component? I have had some overheating issues when running at low speeds for extended periods of time and was thinking of changing out the fan and adding the dasa impeller. Would this essentially accomplish the same goal? Just thinking that I would be also extending oil life while gaining the filter relocate and fixing the overheating problem all at the same time. How easy is this kit to install and is there a way to add it if you have a winch installed?

I can't speak for Chris but here's my .02, An oil cooler upgrade is a must have, even if your NOT racing. These things don't hold enough oil in the first place and oil temp and oil usage is critical for engine life. An oil cooler will not only bring down the oil temp but it also increases the capacity of oil, due to the larger filter and oil lines. So, IMO it's a no brainer even for a recreational user like myself. I also use amsoil which has helped lower overall operating temps of the coolant & oil.
