The stock pump is more than adequate when it is working properly. Sounds like your pump might have a problem.

Did the '08's come with electric fuel pumps? Will the 09 pump/tank work in the 08? Probably cheaper to get an aftermarket one and put it inline, though.

08s are carbureted and 09s are EFI. The 09 and newer pump would have much too high of fuel pressure for an 08. FYI.

thanks for the input chris... i replace the fuel filter frequently, so i dont think it is that. ill see if i can pick up another stock pump to see if that helps my problem out. the FI models run somewhere around 40 psi or so, where as the carbs are probably 3-5 psi. ill stick with the stock pump since it should be fine with the bbk...

the pumps aint cheap but partshark.com has them for $432! im having fuel issues and its boiled down to my pump! thats the cheapest place ive found but if anyone knows a cheaper place im up for listening! lol
mine cranks and idles fine but full throttle it cuts out bad! spits,sputters,pops and just about dies! if i ease into it it does ok! ive checked eveything even drained the tank and cleaned it thinking i had water in the tank but didnt help!

the 08's are cheap to replace but the 09's and up are expensive becuz they are FI! they are the ones that are $432!
