Just last week my 10 Rex started to not idle, acting real sluggish & back firing. Figured it might be the gas, put some injector cleaner in it. My parents took it to the fair this week. It seemed to help the back firing, but it is still not idling, sluggish,etc.
Went to a Kawa dealer that was set up, he thought it may be that the valves might need to be reset ?
The FI does not show up on the speedo & you have to press the gas pedal trying to start it.
Just had the 1st service done to it, about 2 months ago, everything ran great for about a month then...
Also since my Mom & Dad both use this around the property, Dad said "It's to damn loud, I want to put a new quieter muffler on it for you" What would you guys suggest for a good quiet muffler that isn't going to reduce HP.
Also any of the other problems I'm having

check your fuel PSI. i was having the problems and it was my fuel pump clogged up with trash! i took it apart and cleaned it and it works fine now! i cant help u with the muffler but i would think the stock pipe is about the best your gonna get...im not expert though so maybe someone else can help u on that! good luck!

Thanks, I talked to my service guy yesterday & after he made a few calls, he was told the same thing. Fuel pump and/or filter, apparently the 2010s had a major problem with them going out & they had to be replaced, sucks mine only has about 40hrs. but looks like I'll be spending some cash to replace it since the bull*&^% warranty is out.

the fuel pumps on all of them are shit from what ive seen....theyre about 400 big ones new...u can probley just clean it thats what i did to mine and it works fine.....check for trash in the fuel too

my 09 is doing the same thing but i have taken a part the fuel pump apart and cleaned it it got a little bitter but still sputters and back fires also at idle if i turn on my head light or the fan kicks in the bike will turn off ....any suggestions on what this could be
