Pretty sure the damage
was done to the crank before I even installed the bbk and I just missed it, the bbk probably doesn't have an hour on it yet LOL

I have a very nice oil cooler kit with remote filter. It almost doubles the oil capacity. The cooler has enough surface area that we don't even need a fan with it. It uses all high quality hoses and aluminum AN fittings. There is even a spot in the filter housing to put an oil temp sender.

As for the gaskets, I would recommend the 3 layer Cometics with an 840. I have 2 layer Cometics that I use with standard bore builds. The heads should be checked for sure or you may find yourself doing this yet again.

I see you need a lot more than just a top end rebuild. Good luck with it and give me a call if I can help with any of it.

So not to doubt anyone at all because I'm not but what is the reasoning for using the 3 piece gasket as opposed to the factory style gasket?

I have zero luck with single layer head gaskets and 100% luck with 3 layer gaskets, I think the 3 layer allows for a little more give if the cylinder head is moving around a little. The impressions on the top and bottom layers definitely help in sealing, plus I think the middle layer may help conduct some heat away from the whole gasket. If you surface both the head and cylinder you should be able to seal up an 840 really well. Torque your head bolts about 5lbs more than the book and use ARP thread lube.

It all has to do with me practicing my right as a American for freedom of speech, even if I can't spell!lol Kawieriders has Banned me a few time because I have to go on there and tell my side of things, the truth, and some people can't handle that. The top poster over there breaks every rule there is about attacking vendors every time Fundy or now TRP makes a post, but no one says a thing about it. And there are a lot of guys on there doing the same thing. But they have a big hard on for me because I dare to tell it the way it is.

Now I have a program call Hide My IP where I can get on any forum any time if I need to. Over here I never had that problem, but as you can see some times I have to use it.
