Was just thinking since they have switchable setting if some it got switched to a lower rpm limit

Not sure how the FI works in the Teryx, but you must have some sort of sensor that feeds into the MSD (MAP, throttle position, cam position)...almost like that sensor isn't sending the correct info to the MSD and your fuel flow is choked off. Seems related that your tach goes haywire too...almost like there is a cam position sensor going bad at high rpm?

Happy hunting

OK, so does it get better/worse or the same as the motor warms up? I am trying to determine if something in your FI has gone out of spec.

Leaning towards Amsoils comments as well. Most likely sensor would be inlet air pressure sensor located on the drivers side just infront of the front throttle body. Has a vacuum hose going to it. Make sure the hose is connected and if it is on both ends put the one in from your dad's teryx. Worth a shot. Mine has failed.

Will do... I'm gonna do a compression leak down test... I'm just waiting for the right adaptor from snap on. I have a strong feeling that I have a bad valve spring...

Not for long! I think I have a bad air intake sensor.... I removed it and cleaned it and the car performed a little better. The sensor was covered in oil... It only makes sense that it could fail knowing how much oil gets in the plenum from puking. Im gonna switch the air intake sensor with dads and see where I'm at....

Makes sense, if the resistor inside can't change the output voltage, the MSD thinks the engine load is less and won't supply enough fuel.

from my awesome HTC on Verizon
