A machined clutch cap will add 4-6 mph to your '08, There is no down side to having one. Very easy install, Take one off and put one on.

AZ Clutch Kit!

We sell the machine cap for $96.95 but we usually sell the cap with a secondary spring as a kit for $124.95. With the kit you get both added top end and bottom end. More rpm when climbing also.

If you unhook the brake system you can just add 3 washers under each bolt and space the plate out for some good gains if you want a little more top end for a buck or so in washers.

You are just spacing the cap out so the sheaves can come together more just like what everyone is doing with milling the caps.

Don't you change the spring rates by doing that? What affect will the change in spring rates have?

By milling the clutch cap you are not affecting the spring rates.

Yes, I'm sorry it was late when I posted that and it's been 5 years ago when we were doing that. You will need 2-3 of the stock shims to get you back to the instaled heights to get you spring rate back. Still it's a cheep mod,not saying it's the best but it is very good for the money spent.

You dont need neither to change the clutch cap. You just unbolt the old one and bolt on the new one. All the heavy work is in taking out the gas tank and moving the frame parts out of the way for the install. I'm pretty sure that with the "UTV Crap" cap, you will still have the KEBC operable. And if the price goes down any furthur I will buy one myself, lol.

Is the dalton one or utv craps any different other then keeping the kebc? Is one "stronger" or faster then the other?
