It gives the shifter just enough room to move with the engine instead of staying in a fixed location and the engine moving by itself...when the engine moves and the shifter does not? Then if your out of adjustment by even a little? The shifter will pop the tranny out of gear and send one of the gears (I forgot which one now) down the shaft and into the reverse gear or vice versa...either way it results in a broken case or trashed tranny in the worst case scenario...so now you have a little room for error...

The gate grind is the ticket...
I was going to look into getting one of these myself because my teryx wants to pop out of low gear. I had a buddy ride in the passenger seat and hold a little forward pressure on the shifting rod and it wouldnt poop out. Sounds like im going to have to tear the motor apart unless some else has any idea.

I have not had the pop out of gear thing but it sure grinds when you put it in gear. These are 2 differnet issues right?

It will grind a little...especially if you idle is set a little high..but I would double check your adjustment just to be safe.

Installed:

Close up

This should help eliminate the issue - tower has zero movement now.

Wish I had that $3,700 dollars ago, TWICE!

Went with the Funco brace. But that looks like a nice product, thx for posting some pictures. This problem is not from "customer abuse" its a Kawa weakness, bad design and sucks that they won't recognize it.
