VFJ Clutch Kit

so just wondering if anyone is running VFJ's spring kit yet? and in case some are thinking it, No, i ment exactly what I typed. He now offers his own spring kit.

i guess more importantly would be to ask if there is anyone that was running dalton that has switched over and how it differed?

i talked to vfj last week, he said he has all the springs and weights to set up the clutches for the teryx now. I wil be shipping mine off to him in a few weeks. he qouted me $350 for machining, and $250 for all the other parts set up by him except the secondary spring, i would have to do that myself.

i actually got mine back last week, but was unable to finish everything in time. gonna finish tomorrow and test. really just curious to know how it compares to what a vfj dalton combo would do.

Well gonna have to call VFJ. Got to run the clutch tonight, not impressed at all. Zero gain in 1/8, 1/4, or top end speeds.
Maybe i need to be running duper heavy tires instead.

He set the clutch up for me with his new spring & weight kit. All I had to do was put the clutch in and change the secondary spring.

Feels like it launches harder. After talking with father in law, looks like the higher stall speed pushed me too far up my timing curve. Will retune in the next few weeks and see what happens. As a side note, I am not running big heavy tires like many are. Most of the time my tire/rim combo is slightly over 30lbs each.

i wouldnt base it just on me. Super nice guy and all. It just wasnt what I was expecting after all the hype, but like I said, it very well could be a problem with the new stall speed and the timing curve. I havent had a chance to talk to John, but that is my fault, not his. He tried to give me a call but i missed it.
I'll get it worked out. I'll see what he suggests and then get the curve remapped and try again.
