i'm not trying to be disrespectful to anyone here but i don't see 68+ mph with the stock bore and cams. has anyone with stock bore and stock cams used a radar gun or gps to verify those speeds, or just the stock speedos, cause i think the speedos are off a bit. i think everyone here knows what i've done to my teryx and i only saw 58mph before clutch work, 68mph after clutch work, and 72mph with the 39mm fcr carbs. those speeds were all taken with a radar gun and gps to back each other up, both speeds matched. the 72mph pass with the new carbs i let off the gas before i topped out, it was still accelerating, anything 70+ is real scary in a sxs so that was enough for me. my teryx also got to those speeds very quickly i never took a long drive down the hwy to get those #'s, so maybe it is possible with the stock bore and cams i would just like to see someone back it up with a gun and gps, cause i'd like to know if i blew a bunch of $'s to go fast when i didn't need to!

Chase ... with clutch work....in low, with a stomp on the go juice from dead stop, are you lifting the front wheels? Now that would be fun. How many times do you have that you can even run that fast....so top speed doesn't interest me as much as ..q u i c k n e s s.

I think that those people with stock bore are machining clutch cap to get extra top speed. If Chase machined his, he would propably see 80mph.

Im pretty sure the stock speedo's are off a bit at high speeds. I say this because from everyone I have talked to that has used a radar gun or gps with a stock clutch and a cdi they hit the revlimiter around 58mph and the speedos have been in the mid to high 60's, as much as 9mph off. I gps'd mine on the rev limiter with dynatek cdi and was at 58. Im not dissapointed because that is pleanty fast for me.

Yes, the machined cap gives extra top end.....thats what Ray and I were discussing earlier.
Puddle Jumper....did it affect the power anywhere else? Any low end loss??

Well wil cdi, HW card kit...on the speedo, I'm guessing 60...if that. I don't have the tope end you guys do, not sure why. I do know the cdi put a slight miss in mine, at part throttle. Nail it, it does not miss.
Are any of you pulling the front tires in low? I know of a reworked Rhino 660 that can do it pretty easy. It's true top end is 65-70 range.

I sure hope he can! My rotax rhino with a 62hp engine can pull the front tires! I bet chase has over 100hp at the crank!! Im guessing its a wheelie machine! I just dont know how the driveline would hold up to it!

Lowes48...So adding the cdi, made it way to lean? The miss was before the carb kit. This also is at partial throttle I'm getting the miss, so could I accomplish the same thing by moving the needle up? That would also be easier to do than the jets. But having said that...would I get better performance with the jet change?
I'm wondering how much/many changes it would take to pull the front tires.
