Default New Tip vs Gibson Slip on

Truthfully, is there any more to be had by an uncorked stocker vs any slip-on?
7hp from Gibson seems hard to believe.

7hp is hard to believe also...that kit isn't even 100% completed, or atleast 100% compliant with spark arrestor specs...

I spent $800 for my Yoshi Dual pipes on my 700 V Force and it really sounds bad, but I really did see any change in performance! I think I will just fabraracate a nice looking tip out of some aluminum and save my buck this time!

Nyroc's ATV info website

Link to Nyroc web site above. The mod basically involves cutting the end cap off drilling 6 to 8 holes (don't affect packing if done right) and welding the cap back on. The bigger end cap with more exhaust flow is basically the same idea.
The site has some good tips on Kawi motor mods.

You have to join. (free and automatic)
I have seen pictures and comments under kawi atv threads. I think it was under Prairie and vforce but it has been also been done to other brands.
There are some youtube videos on the sound of the muffler out there

you basically cut off the end cap, drill 6-8 3/8" or 1/2" holes through all the baffles, enlarge the pipe opening to 2"'s and reweld the end cap back on

I put the HMF duals on my V-Force. IT was loud, but the power was unbelievable from the bottom to the top. Gained 4 MPH. The recommened Jetting was a little rich, but ran like a stripped A$$ ape. I will look for true Duals for mine. Just would like same length pipes to keep jetting the same for both cylinders (if possible)

Well we were supposed to go to the desert today and try out my new tires, but my wife got sick so I whipped this up! Don't get to excited the red tip isn't anodized, it's just machinist layout die.

It is a 1 1/2" seamless steel pipe with 1/4" 6061 T6 polished aluminum. Not sure what the heat will do to the die, but don't care! I just like making stuff out of scrap stuff around the shop!

It is a little louder, probably as much as I can get away with for my wife's ears! It should relieve a little back pressure anyway!

Bling Bling!
