Default Gibson exaust problems

I installed a Gibson on my Teryx and found a problem. There are 2 rods on top of the stock exaust that go through 2 tubes under the bed and get a retainer clip in each to prevent the exaust from sliding off. The rods on the Gibson are about 1/2" to short and dont extend completely trough the tubes so that the retainers can be re-installed. Here are some pics before and after modification. I welded on 3/4" extensions to the rods, drilled new holes for the retainer clips and it worked out fine. Has anybody else had this problem?

Had same problem, but push the mid pipe that comes with the exaust a little bit more with bit of oil then soft hits the exhaust end with rubber hammer, and the holes just comes out.
