The 800 kit is pistons and head gaskets. The kit is the same for the 840 as far as BBK, but everyone ads cams and valve spring to the kit. I think the guy he is talking about has a 840 because most go with the 840 because the cost the same.

Thanks FST,
I thought for some reason it went 804cc then 840cc, and I can't remember where I saw that.

You are the kind of person that gives the net. it's bad rep. You twist stuff to make it look bad.
It is not always the customer that is wrong and like I said when I am wrong I admit it and take care of it above and beyond what anyone does in this industry, therefore we don't have a problem.
If I have a jerk like you it is easy to see what happens.

803 is my so called 800 kit, but now because of the rules in CORR racing(800cc limit) I have made a new 87.5mm (794cc)13.5 piston kit. My other std bore true 11.5, 803cc 11:1 and 840 11:1 all run on pump gas but the race 794cc kit needs race gas.

If I may ask a question FST must the crankcase breather go to the carb vacuum or can I just put a filter on the end of it ?

It's better if it's not in the air box. Even with a pipe and a CDI on these V-Twin's they can pump oil into the air box. However if you are pumping oil out of the breather then you will want to build a return system. On the quads we use a 450 YFZ vent box and return the oil back into the rear cyl. head. I am working on a new kit that will be a little nicer then the YFZ box but it works good for the price.

I have been into quads since my 84 Quadsport and raced motorcross before then. Yes I am OLD. I am just glad tha MIckey had sense enuff to recall his past. He has a RACING background, so he must know what works. I will continue to take his advise and purchase his products. I have had no problems since 1984.

looks like i missed all the action, been too busy to log on lately. I installed a 840 bbk w/cams from Mickey, i believe i was one of the first to do so in a teryx. i had never delt with him before this and before deciding on one of his motor kits i spoke with him several times asking a lot of the same questions over and over again. Mickey was extremely helpful and polite to speek with every time, this is before i had ever spent a penny with him. after i purchased the kit i again spoke with him on several occassions, he was always willing to talk and help. my 840 is still running strong and i still call Mickey every few weeks just to see if he is working on anything new for the teryx, he is always great to talk to. If my motor ever does blow up i will not expect him to stand behind i put it together, instead i will call him between the times he is answering the phones and will order a new kit from him. I would recomend FST to anyone no question! Thanks for all the help on my motor Micky i'm sure i will speaking with you soon. heres a picture or two you may be interested in.

I believe I raced with Mickey Dunlap back in the day and I remember he seemed like a stand up guy then (even though I won) so I would be inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt.

The carbs look good but there are a few things I would like to talk to you about. I will be out of the office on Friday but back in Monday if you want to call. I am glad you got all the stock air box stuff on there.
