This one is out of control as well.

Anyone here is welcome to start a new air filter discussion, and we can all play nice within that discussion.

We at 2X have had engine builders tell us that engines have failed due to uni filters. We have also been told the same thing about K&N filters. This info is from two different builders. This agruement is just like Ford, Chevy or Dodge. Everyone has there own opinion. This thread was posted to simply show the adapter/heat sheild to the intake. The filter that we used is the filter we had on hand. We like that everyone is voicing there opinion, its great information for the customers. At the end of the day, thats what the vendors are here for!!

Talking about fine dirt "baja 500 silt beds" it was a K&N filter on a Rzr that made it through the verisous silt beds that were 3 feet deep!!! Does the motor have to be rebuild HELL YEAH. WHY! cuz its a racing engine. We are here to help, the good, the bad, and the ugly!! HAHA We just like to have fun and make awesome products for the UTV world!!

Thanks 2X

My 06 has 1800 miles on it, and was run with a K&N filter w/ outerware for 98% of those miles. Never had any signs of dirt down stream of the filter either!

I dusted my 02 ford powerstroke, I was told because of the K&N filter. The dealer said they would have covered it if I had used an AFE as there is 7 layers of gauze....needless to say AFE is the only filter I would trust.

Well if you still want to argue, paper is the best filter media still.

Run what ever you choose. No one is twisting your arm. I will still run K&N myself. and I don't care about your opinion personally, cause your still jacking the vendors thread.

Sorry Greg, I am done now.

haha for sure.

i actually saw some R&D stuff that TrueFlow was doing for the Teryx, looks like a really good kit.

They were making the shield / adapter brackets on saturday.

Intake system that replaces the stock box..

We have 1 on order.. we will do some R&D with it and see how it performs..
