Are OEM spec's correct with dementions?
Hello there!
New to the board. hopfully in the next few weeks Ill be an owner of either a Lime green or Monster Teryx. I do intend to do a 3" raise as I like mudding. And a plow for long drivway. But limting mods to that and just enjoying the machine for what it is. To my questions: I have a shed that has size limitation. Im wondering if the dementions on Kawasaki's site is correct under rated, or over rated. What are the actual over all length width? I know hight Ill have to open the door to my shed and cut the roll frame a bit, IM good at fabing so that isnt an issue. In the mean time I can keep it in the garage and the wifes car can take second seat. But My shed inside is only 9 foot 4 1/2 inches at it widest straight in. Is that the case for this machine or is the 9' 6" 1/2" true to spec on there site? Cant shut the door over 2". So basicly Im asking is someone can grab a tape and measure there's as close as possible from long point to long point. This board is awsome for all the info on it. I have learned alot by just sitting hear and read post after post. Thanks for any info! Phyro Last edited by Phyroinstinct; 06-19-2009 at 11:44 AM. |

OE specs are as close as you're going to get unless your talking about weight. Weight specs always vary because of different methods of calculationg dry weight. You should be safe using the stock specs. I'd measure mine but it is modified so I can help.

I finally had some time to get to my local dealer yesterday to measure one. But thay dont have a sport assembled. So length we got with a board on each end was 116 1/4 inches.
Forgot height thou. Anyone out there with a factory one that can measure from the ground to the highest point with a board across it? I cant get there till at least next weekend and Im trying to figure true dimensions hear. And on a sport with tax they gave me rough number of 11,500 out the door. So good? If anyone has the height number, it would be greatly appreciated! |
