Help with my winch!!!!!

Can anyone tell me where I can find the 12 volt keyed wires for the winch I am installing? My dealer is no help, they have no idea where they are. I was told that the 09 Teryx has wires up front somewhere that you can just connect to, is this true?

Blackstroke I don't know about the 09 but on the 08 I had to wire into the switch I think it was the brown/white wire or brown, I have the service manual and it has a full breakdown of the wiring. Don't know if this is any help for what you are asking or not. Once you take the switch out of the dash you should be able to use a test light and turn and the switch on and off to see exactly which wire is hot when in the on position and off when the switch is in the off position. I installed the Viper Max 4000 fairly simple as far as the wiring, but routing and taking everything apart was the worst part. Hope I may have been some help if this is the wire you are looking for.

Put a electrical tester the green wire when you pull the plug off from behind the speedo, see if that's it. I did this back in Dec. if I remember right these are the wires.

Thanks to both of you for your help!!!!!!!! You both have the Viper winch as do I, did your front bumper go back on after installation or did you have to modify the lower cross brace? mine hits the rollers for the winch and comes about 1/2" from being able to re-install the bumper bolts! I have the Teryx mount that came with the winch!

I also have the Viper Winch but I use an SDR bumper. I had to drill some holes in the SDR bumper plate but not on the front winch spot on the Teryx frame if I remember correctly.

My Viper fits snug with no modifications and I am using the stock bumper, as well. Did you get the Teryx mounting plate? I used the switched lighter socket as my connection for switched power. It is easier to replace that than the ignition switch.
