dumb question about belt?

I keep on reading about vforce john's clutch mod and how he changes the angle on the sheeve to grab the belt better. Does any one make a belt with a different angle that would grab the same as the mod vforce john does?

Good question but im pretty sure all the belts are the same. I only know of 3 brands which are the OEm kawie, Dayco, and the EPI. I have always had the best luck with the stock oem belt on all machines whether it be kawie, yamaha and so on. I have the VFJ clutch mod on my 08 teryx and it was a whole new creature after the install. IN low gear the bike is a beast. He will reccomend that you get a different primary spring like an EPI marroon for a slightly higher engagment but man what a difference. I have definately seen an increase in fuel mileage by using his mod. Bottom end and top speed are where teh gains are. Midrange is about the same or at least it is on my bike. Best i can gather in stock form the sheeves grab about 70% of the belt which isnt as efficient as 100%. THis will cause more wear, more slippage, and when you have slippage that equals heat, and heats leads to failure. The VFJ and the dyna cdi are the best 2 mods ive done, then was the muzzy duals.

I was looking on ebay and saw that DFR is selling a belt with revised angles which is supposed to give a better grip. Does anyone know anything about this belt?
