Our '09 Teryx was running poorly so I took it into shop. The mechanics told me the fuel pump was bad (40psi when idling, but would drop to 10 psi when you get on the gas). I noticed the fuel pumps are on back order accross the board. Does anyone know of any recall with this part? Anyone know of a less expensive after market pump that could be used as a replacement. Or some sort of fuel pump rebuild? The OEM pump is $500 bucks! Coughing up $500 large 3 weeks before Christmas is brutal.... Anyone?

google the part number and see if you can find a match or a cross reference. try ebay also.

Take some parts and add some and you get

$500.00 for a stock fuel pump, that is a rip off, even if it's a high pressure pump for the FI.
The stock pump for an 08 is $ 65.00 & I know they are not the same but that's just rediculous.

Muzzys makes a billet bracket to put an aftermarket pump in the tank of an 09-10. Part of the reason the factory pupp is so expensive is that it is not just a pump. It has the fuel level sending unit built in as part of the assembly. The Muzzy bracket allows you to remove the fuel sender from the stock pump assy and use it with an aftermarket pump. This is the best solution to your problem in my opinion.

The service guy at the Kawi shop called me back and said they called their people at Kawasaki. When they explained out Teryx only had 200 miles (30 hours on motor), they said they were going to cover the repairs. Very good news. Thank you guys for your imput.
