Default cage material

okay, I need to get a four person cage for my Teryx. All I will do with it is trail riding with the family, no motocross style jumps or races. I have seen cages made from either mild steel or DOM tubing. I know DOM is better, but way more $. For just trail riding where the worst that will happen might be a slow tip over, do I really neeed DOM or will mild steel be okay? Also what is the stock cage made out of?

DOM is better, but alot of buggies are made from "mild steel" Different materials have different properties...So Depends on your preference...money available, and what you may need to fix in the future...some types are easier to work with after an accident so i have been told.

I would spend a little extra and get the DOM cage and have some piece of mind. What is your families life worth.Plus to get the mild steel cages are heavier
