Exclamation Exhaust Fire!!!

I was wondering if anyone else has had any trouble with grass and stuff collecting up on the skid plate by the exhaust under the motor? We farm and ranch and when we go to the pasture you can smell it getting hot under there! Just the other day we were in the pasture and it caught on fire luckly we had the sprayer in the back and we got it out! Let me know if anyone else has had any trouble. Something needs to be done here or there is going to be some burnt up Teryxs!! Thanks

There is nothing you can do but keep it washed out, cant plug any of the holes as they help cool it off.

Yeah that would be alright but when you go to the pasture and ride around for a couple hours and it catches on fire there isn't anyway to wash it out. Has anyone cut holes in the skid plate where the exhaust runs? Just a way to get the crap out of there.

You must have better grass than me....mine's all burn up due to lack of rain and way to short to catch fire. BUT...it's something I have noted since that is the way I primarily use my Teryx.

Yeah we live in the central part of Kansas and usually this time of year the grass is dry and short but we have had a really wet year so far. It is nice but we need to dry up a little so we can get in the field! haha! Yeah it is something that needs to be watched. I think we are going to try and cut a couple holes under the exhaust. That way if stuff catches on fire it might fall out and not catch the whole teryx on fire!! This weekend we are heading out to Colorado to ride in the mts. a bit. We will see how the Teryx does up there?!?
