The hour meter does not count with just the key on, but no we do not leave our key on when we are not running.

I think my dealer was thinking about the Brute Force when he told me a little kid had turned the key on & left it on in the dealership & it added hours to the machine. Apparently he thought the Teryx did the same thing. I think it was a bad policy to have a key in a machine unattended anyway, but that's neither here nor there.

Well, the new hour meter is not fading but it is definately reading fast. I drove it around Thursday afternoon for about 15min and it said I put about 30 min. Not cool.

You need a shady used car sales man that can roll that meter back.

S2K1 - Just FYI, Rhino's work with the key on, seamed the distrubutor left the keys in a bunch of them for transport while moving them off the truck, and racked up over 36 hours before they found out the key in the on position makes the meter run..Yamaha had to give the dealer statements that in fact the hours were wrong due to the delivery problem... But that is Yamahe

Default Get a rope

Brand new Teryx, picked it up with only .5 hours on it, matched it up with a stopwatch everytime i ran it. The stop watch shows 4.2 hours and the hour meter shows 6.3 hours.......

You do realize that the meters runs when the key is in the on position, not just when the motor is running.

Pretty weird but my hour meter is reading slow. I can ride exactly an hour by my watch and I see about .72 on the hour meter. Weird....
