I have had now 2 seals replaced in the last 3 weeks. Second seal i added a speedy sleeve becuase it looked as though there was a nick in the output shaft where the seal rides. Now I went on a 150 mile run and when i got home pulled the dip stick it was at te bottom of the dipstick. So i'm much in the same boat as you. Kawasaki knows about the rear engine seal leeking. They have changed it on the 2012. So, I have the extended warrenty and am starting to ring the bells at the dealership.
filter is clean. plug is clean. I understand that the oil is above the rear engine oil seal and i use syn 1040. wonder if i changed the syn oil back to regular oil if this would fix it? Anyone else out there with any news???? |

UPDATE-- last night I cleaned it all off and went and rode it for about 15 min came back and saw the pic below. looks like that one case bolt. I torqed on the bolt and it moved about a quarter of a turn so went and rode it again and it did not leak the second time. I will try again tonight just to make sure.
