ok done searching fan bypass switch

What do i have to do to run a fan bypass switch on my 09?I have searched and read everything about it on the forums lol but never really got aNY ANSWERS LOL.I know they sell kits but why cant i just run a switch in to the 2 wires going to the fan motor its self?

I am not quite sure, however i believe that you need 3 wires. you need power from another source so that you do not over ride the original system.

utv inc has a kit that comes with a sand switch complete easy to install

Its simple just run a switch through another relay then to the fan. Thats how mine is so it will still turn on with the temp sender or I can flip the switch to manually overide it

thats how i did mine too added a switch and a relay to run fan any time i want but your power to turn on relay still should come off keyed power

why do you need to run a relay? I can do normal switch wiring but when it comes to using relays and stuff im stupid lol

one wire goes to battery power , one to iginition power , one to ground and last one goes to fan power , you can switch either the ground or the switched power , relays control high power and then low power goes to your dash, less chance of fire and bad stuff happening

The relay protects the switch, lots of power from the draw of the fan could short the switch, the relay has two power inputs one from the battery and one from the switch, the switch only needs a small power signal to tell the relay to turn on the fan, so the switch is only the trigger to send power from the relay to the fan

So you could pull power to the switch from about anywhere it uses very little draw, power to the relay should be run from a fuse box or inline fuse from the battery

Im not an electician but thats what I do and never had any problems
