Teryx versus the competition -- need some help

I was hoping to get some help on why you ended up buying a Teryx versus any of the competition? What are the pros/cons versus the competition?

Is Teryx just the same product cheaper?

For someone who is new to SxSs it's pretty hard to tell the differences amongst manufacturers

Thanks for the help,
Kevin

The Teryx is better built than most of the compitition, the motoer is pretty good stock and can really improve with bolt on upgrades. I have a Polaris Ranger and a Teryx, the Ranger is great for what I use it for which is hunting. The Teryx is great for trail riding and duning. The draw back for me is, the Teryx has very little storage, just a glove compartment and it is kind of a pain to work on, mainly the clutch.. The power and ride is good stock, but when I installed WER shocks it was a major improvement. Overall I have been happy with the Teryx, with a little over 2000 miles on it, I have had no problems. I changed the belt when I installed a VFJ clutch, but the old one looked very good.

I personally thought (and still do) that the Teryx is the best looking and best built. I also knew I would be adding a 4seat cage and rear bench and the teryx's size was perfect for this.

I bought a Teryx over a Rhino because of the Vtwin vs a single cylinder.

I bought a Teryx over a RZR because of my style of riding and needs (better adaptation to add a 2nd seat, and some semblence of utility capability as opposed to pure sport.

I bought a Teryx over any of the more utility based machines based on performance.

I bought a Teryx over Arctic Cat because of reports of reliability.

I bought a Teryx over a Can Am Commander because of Price and because the Commander has only been out 1 year.

The commander is my favorite of the machines, far and away... but I bought my Teryx for $8550 brand new, while the best price I could find on a new commander was 13k for the 800xt. I simply couldn't justify 5k more for a machine that would ultimately serve the same purpose.

i have owned two rhino's with 4 seat cages and they are just as good quality as the Teryx4 i have now but the rhino is just underpowered with the single cylinder.

i also bought a RZR in 2008 and what a POS that thing was. frame issues, motor mount issues, weak hub issues..... BUT i did race it for one season and beat the eff out of it. no more poooooolaris for me.

i all comes down to what terrain you mostly ride in and how many you carry with you.

i chose the T4 because it will be our desert trails toy, i dont expect it to do what i want in the dunes so i will eventually buy a Wildcat for me to go fast in the sand with.

I bought my teryx because of price, looks, sound, and mod that you can do. I'm not the kind of guy that leaves anything stock so I know when I'm looking at something that I wanting a good frame and motor to build off form. When I bought mine I could have bought a rzrs for 4g more then I bought the teryx for but I already new that the suspension is a joke they bottom out so hard that they fill like you going to brake you back and then the motor is just a bad design to and crank that has that much space between crank bearings is just asking for a problem. Now I know that the teryx has its draw backs but there thing that the after market would has made easily fixable. Plus there's not a sxs on the market that can beat the sound of the v-twin with muzzys on it.
