Wrench Help me out, perf. mod ?'s

Just installed one of the two brothers dual exh. systems, and now i need more air....and even more power....

my question is if the non-prog. dynatek will work with the pipe and a velocity air filter kit?

Anyone have something close to this set-up yet?

Thanks in advance for any info...

Is the Velocity filter as good as the K&N, or should i just wait another month for the K&N to be released?

Right now with just the pipe and jet kit it runs fine except at WOT it will sputter every now and then.

If you ride in dust at all you do not want a K&N on any thing you ride. I won't go into detail just check the Internet for dust getting through them. On our Diesels they are bad news and I know they are no good for ATV's

I agree with the K&N, too many Rhinos have had to rebuild the engine because of them.

I would pass on any add on air intake. Too much money and not enough benefit.

We have a carb kit and two TPI valves for the airbox and it is all the air you will ever need plus it performs well.

Don't get in a hurry on dealing with the air intakes.

Alright, since i dont have to spend all the $$ on a filter, which Dynatek would be better to get, the programmable or the non???

How hard is it to tune the prog. one??

Not hard at all, if you buy one from us we will pre-program our curve in there and you will have all the curves you will ever need without having to buy the programming kit plus we double the warranty,

If you do get the programmer and have trouble with you can call me and I can walk you thru it. Not much to it though.

Laughing similar set up

I am running the pre programmed Dyna, modified HMF duals, six 1 inch holes in the lid, and jetted.* Runs like a beast.* Hit 62 mph on speedo on pavement. I got mine before I knew Todd would have the programmable one so soon.* I wish I would have waited so as I continue to modify I could make programming changes to take advantage of those mods.* If you are stopping with a pipe, jetting and cdi; it will be perfect for you.

Just curious, what size jets your running?

I got mine pretty close, but at WOT it stutters a little, no black smoke or anything. I still dont know if im lean or rich, or if i need to do some screw adjustment.?

Maybe you're hitting the rev limiter. What speed do you notice the stutter. If it is over 47-48 MPH, it is probably limiter cutting it out.

No, not hitting the limiter. Its whenever i hit WOT, from a dead stop and rolling. Other than that it runs great. just not at WOT.

Default jets

I'm running 150f and 155r. I don't have a stutter at any point. I went big first with 185 and 190 jets with poor results. I dropped down to 175 and 180 still didn't run good. I would start about at 145 and 150 then move up. This carb set up is pretty touchy. Hunterworks has a jet kit that would be a good start.
