2011 same way, I pulled on mine last night and it is just stuck in there.

I want to do the same because it just seems silly to me to pay $200+ for something that looks to be as simple as a few feet of straight PVC and a few PVC elbows, zip ties and maybe a few feet of 1/4" hose and a few rubber boots. I also agree with deleting the airbox because if the air is pulling from the top why not just put the filter on the top?! The whole thing seems like a no-brainer to me but can anyone provide a step by step that shows all the parts and what it takes to to put it all together? Thanks in advance...

I like your idea, I have a similar one only my plan is to add small filters to the top of the other 2 tubes as well if for no other reason than to keep debris from getting down inside. So from the top it should look just like yours only with a small filter on each side of your 3" breather.

Polaris425 try using a heat gun, might loosen the plastic and rubber enough to get it out.
