carb. slide bouncing?

Have installed a 840 kit. Have a carb bouncing slide only in the rear carb. I have 220 jets, plugs look tan to golden brown starts good but at idle and just off idle the slide bounces? When it does this it causes the engine to slightly misfire . I have the hunter works carb kit in it and have drilled the slides. Have the lighter sping on the diaphram and changed the metering rod as well. I was thinking about swapping slides front to back and see if the problem moves with the slide. I have the clip on the second clip on the needle. Any ideas what to do or what will cause this, need to try to get rid of it. I am happy with all other areas of throttle response and jetting other than this issue. HELP?????

Hmmm...did you drop the pilot jets down to the smallest size? Those 840 kits will pull fuel through the pilots if you don't...

I did change the pilots. Don't know the number. But they were the ones 4st sent with the kit. I'm sure he sent the rec ones.

Got it fixed. Turns out you can't watch the carb with the cover off. Thx to Hunterworks for the advise. I moved down a clip posistion and the problem is gone.
