So i was out chasing muskrats around in a slough yesterday when my 14 t2 shut off on me
the water was just below the seats, nowhere near the engine intake.
of course once it stalled the exhaust filled with water and i had to pull the plugs to squirt it out!
anyhow I'm wondering if this is common with these machines?
today I'm going to open up every connector i can find, including the plug boots and pack them with dielectric grease. hopefully that fixes the issue!
Any deeper then this mine stalls out too. Hope with the dielectric grease on the plugs it won't happen again. Heading out next weekend to see how it does.
The reason with my thought about the cooler water, is because it's instantly trying to "shrink" the engine when it's in constant contact with the motor. Think about an engine with low compression. They're a pita to start when they're cold. But once they're started and warmed up, they'll start and run "like" normal.
after i cut off the piece of pipe that contains the catalyst, i found the exhaust comes out MUCH more freely. parked in deep water and let it idle, no slow down in the idle, ran for about ten mins idling, drove on out. WATCH OUT MUSKRATS!! haha
