changin the belt?

i need to change my belt took a look at it today looks like areal lot of work. how do u go about changin it? is it realy as hard as it seems to be?

So what does everyone do when theres brake when u r out on the trail does everyone carry this tool or r u pretty much out of luck if it brakes ?

I think if it breaks on the trail it is already off. then you can just roll a new one on. But it would take a while & need tools.

so i guess that just like everything else onto this machine it is about the hardest thing to work on !! love the machine but dam they could have made alot of things easier to work on but i am not an engineer

It really isn't hard to change the belt and it doesn't take too many tools BUT it will take some time. If you are on the trail and have a tow rope it might be worth taking the tow. I built a small tool kit with all the tools I need to replace the belt just in case.
