Probably more like, the VDI isn't compatible with the Kawasaki Teryx! However, the Dyna coils might amplify the problems that many others are having with the VDI.

I was excited about the VDI and almost bought one when they first became available for the Teryx, but then I researched online and found that many people were having problems with them, so I resisted. I owned a Suzuki Kingquad before my Teryx and I heard nothing but good about the VDI for the Kingquad, but seems like the Teryx and VDI aren't very compatible.

CDI coils and regular coils are very different, CDI coils have much lower resistance and will run like crap most of the time. Regular coils cured mine.
