Duallys for headlights. Installed!

Finally making our first ride this year, so I just got around to installing my Duallys I've had since late January. If we ride past dark, I'll report back later my thoughts and some night pics.

How did you mount them? Are they off the light switch? I want to do the same thing.

Well, I didn't get to use them last night. We hit a trail we probably shouldn't have and I broke an axle. We were winching and pulling each other for about an hour. We were loaded up and out of there before dark.

As for the install, I bolted them to the bottom of the factory buckets. Wired them through a relay activated by the factory switch so I didn't have to add one. I noticed in the rearview mirror while hauling it that they do shake a bit so I will try to stiffen them up somehow.

Nice job!
Aren't the HID headlights better than these?

Not sure yet on which is better. I had trouble with my Rigid HIDs not igniting since about 6 months after i got them. some times they would light, but usually not both at the same time. had to keep turning them off and on and sometimes one or both would go out while driving. I'm certain my wiring was solid and I'm running an Optima, so I don't think it was a wiring or current issue. I also never could get the headlights fully sealed. we ride in a lot of water and mud, so they kept getting moisture in them. I wanted something a little more durable, reliable, and with less draw on the battery, so I decided to try these.

I would prefer them up high for better beam and so they get less mud on them, but we ride alot of tight trails with low branches. I would have definately beat them up yesterday.
