HID Headlights/Ebay ?

Does anyone have any experience with the HID lighting kits that are on Ebay right now for 59.99 ? Seems like a killer deal but usually if it sounds to good to be true it probably is ? Thanks !

Cool

I bought the BTS kit on ebay for $125.00 plus shipping. I had it next to my brother's NRA last night (without an HID upgrade). It was a huge improvement over the stock lights.

FASTDMAX: Are the light kits plug and play or do you have to splice the harness to get them installed ?

They r plug and play, just the new light harness has a 2male flat pins that just goes right in 2 the factory plug 1 ground and 1 power u just have to choose weather you want your lights to come on low beam or high beam on the knob, they r brighter than a factory bulb set on high postion,

Becarful with some of those hi/low hid some of my friends had them on there teryx, they didnt shine so good my single was way brighter, they all switched to what i have now, thats just form what ive seen!

i've bought like 5 sets off ebay from xenonwholesale88 I bought a set of the slim ballast for both of my honda 450r's -79.99 shipped. set of standard ballast for my f-150 -59.99 shipped. slim ballast my wifes jetta -79.99 shipped. a set of standard ballast for my teryx 59.99 shipped. they are great. can't beat them for the price. the best thing is they show up 2 business days later from cali and i'm in kansas. just like fastdmax says for the teryx. two wires with male spade teriminals to plug into the factory harness. just pick high or low for the switch. I love HID's best invention for lighting.

Its a h4 bulb, AND IT JUST DEPENDS WHAT COLOR SHINE YOU WANT, FROM WHAT I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE LOWER THE KELVIN THE BRIGHTER THE LIGHT IS DONT KNOW IF THIS IS TRUE, BUT I PUT MY 1ST SET OF 3000K ON MY TERYX AND IS BRIGHTER THAN MY OTHER FRIENDS WHO HAVE 6000K

Color temp isn't the brightness, but the spectrum of light produced...obviously a pure white is going to seem brighter than a blue or violet. Ever seen HID coming at you? Some look white, some look blue and some look pinkish. That is the Color temp difference (CCT or K). For offroad you might want to go a little more violet as white light doesn't cut through dust and dirt, but its all a matter of preference.

Mine are 3000K and very white...

So the "K" rating is based on what type of HID they are (Metal halide lamps, Ceramic MH lamps, Sodium vapor lamps, Xenon short-arc lamps, ect..). Different gases emit different light spectrums and therefore the CCT or "K" value is different for each type of light.
