Huge ride event in upstate New York

For all interested. Check it out. You will need to be registered and insured. You will not be able to register your TERYX in NYS due to the way ATV registration laws read, but you can register it in Pa.

If you plan on attending, I'll be there. I have room if you need a lift.

Too bad the state of NY doesn't give out event permits like some states do, then you wouldn't need a reg.
I thought NY just changed the law so you COULD reg a utv?

Dave, Unfortunetly NYS has yet to change the law. UTV's are either too wide or do not meet the weight requirements. Pa has two classes of ATV registration's, class II is for UTV's. I also heard NYS is working to change the law.

You going to this event?

An all-terrain vehicle (ATV) is any self-propelled vehicle with two or more wheels that is manufactured for sale to be used primarily off-highway or in off-road competitions, and that is no wider than 70 inches and weighs no more than 1,000 pounds. This does not include vehicles manufactured for off-highway use and designed exclusively for travel on snow or ice, and supported by one or more skis, belts or cleats that utilize an endless belt tread. Those vehicles, which include snowmobiles, are subject to other laws and regulations.

Ok, but how would you License one? New York still has the weight linit at 1000lbs regardless of what you've heard it has never passed both legislative houses and probably never will with those #$%^& down state (_Y_) wipes
