Stopped on the way home and had a cold cerveza and some grub at the Taverntine Grill at Salton City with Sand junkie and family.

Another year and another great time!. My trip started out on a sour note as I blew out a lower front ball joint the night before I was leaving for Glamis (Thursday eve). So instead of getting an early jump and at least a good half day to ride, I spend all morning tracking down a ball joint and getting my ride back together. Finally got to mother G around 5PM Friday.

A quick night ride proved that Maxxis Cerros in sand SUCK DONKEY (well you know)!! Schannon (scmo777) had a set of rear Big Horns that gave me way more traction. Big shout out to Schannon for the lease of those tires!! Also need to thank Steve (DASA) for having the acorn lug nuts that fit the rims!

This was my first ride with my new Lonestar XTR +5 kit…WOW! It ate up everything. I still need to dial in the rear shocks, but I’m so impressed with the handling and ride. Big shout out to 2X Motorsports for having ball joints in stock AND pressing it in for me, def saved my trip!!!

The best part of these events, for me, is meeting all you guys in person. Everyone looks out for each other and that is what makes these events/rides so much more fun!

Same here bro. Tell the wife it was good meeting her to. I think im headed back out the weekend of the 26th in March. I'll start a thread on it soon. My buddys birthday and he wants to have it on an off weekend out in the flats near the vendors. Should be pretty lonely out there.
