OK everyone , I've been busy sorting things out as promised. I got the flyers made ( my niece kicked me out of my chair and designed in 45 minutes ) , contacted our local radio station ( WISR & BUT-LER ) , who also have a weekly rag that is distributed to local businesses and restaurants . The radio announcement will only be a 3 times before April 25 ( too costly for more ) because I'm trying to get drivers and agencies to RSVP my e-mail (rnmnoble@gmail.com ) ( the first 3 letters are RNM ) so I can have an idea how many drivers will be needed and how many plan to attend . The ride is being hosted by Mines & Meadows ATV / RV Resort in Wampum , Pa. (Mines and Meadows Home ATV UTV dirt bike quad riding trail trails safety mine underground pa camping RV resort membership gift rental ) near Ellwood City . The date is sunday June 6 , 2010 . 10 am - ???. If anyone planning to attend needs any local info or further details , please PM me and I'll help any way I can .
Now I need someones help . I'm terribly COMPUTER CHALLENGED . I can e-mail the flyers , but the pdf file won't load onto a forum like a picture does . If anyone cares to help me get over that hurdle , I would really appreciate it .
I'm also trying to concentrate on little things to keep the children entertained while waiting for their ride . Ideas : clown , face painting , balloons , treats ect.. I'll try to keep everyone updated as I get more sorted out . Alot of donation & help requests sent out . Time will tell....????
* Eat-N-Park not only donated a bunch of cookies for the children , since it's called Prescious ( SMILES ) Ride , they've granted permission to use the COOL Smiley Cookie & Logo for the participants T-shirts . should fit the theme very nicely .
* Little sister decided to pitch in for the STAFF T-shirts . Sounds like they will look pretty good ! Gotta Luv her , even if she is my sister ... LOL

Headed over to Mines & Meadows today to see how the event area was shaping up since the spring thaw. Seems to be drying out and greening up real nice . The grassy area with my silver SUV in the backround , will be the closed off event area . Some pics are my little girl the HAM and some riders headed for the limestone mine tour....... Yes , one is an Argo 6 wheeler !

How is this place? I live near Erie and was thinking about checking it out.

It's actually pretty cool . They have your typical Pa. woods trails along with logging roads , mudholes , powerline hill climbs and rock crawl areas on some of the trails . The most unique is the limestone mine tour. The mine owner / tour guide , takes you for a 15 minute trail ride to the mine entrance , then the mine tour , then back through the trails and back to Mines & Meadows tour staging area . This is included in the price you pay at M&M . The mine is a great place to see just how good those new lights you installed REALLY work ...... If you want to get any good pics inside the mine , take a powerfull external flash with you . The darkness swallows up a regular flash , trust me on that one .

Just a quick update for those drivers that asked if the Cabelas style jumpseats would be allowed at the event . Mines & meadows said YES . That will now allow a concerned parent to ride along in the controlled ride area if they wish too .
Guess this means I'll have to make a quick run to Cabelas and get me one ..........

June 6'th is just around the corner. If everything including the weather pans out , it should be a great day for the children and drivers alike . Hope to meet some of you members at the event .
