on top where the front and rear bars meet, there is a flange on each bar that bolts up together. you have to cut the rear one in half so that the rear bar will swivel down.

i cut the bar low by where the bracket bolts up to the teryx.

no crease at all, to be honest if you looked at my roof now you couldn't tell it didn't come from the factory like that.i thought i was going to have a new top made cause i was thinking the same thing. the top flexes pretty easy, to a point i'm sure. looking at my pics, it looks like my roof line still goes up a little. but in person it sits straight over the top. when you chop 3" off the cage you actually end up having the rear section taper down a little, like a radius cage. but the plastic roof sticks up just a hair between the two rear passenders. no big deal for me, cause i was able to reuse the roof.
in these pics if you follow the top cage line over the back you can just make out where it tapers down.

like i said, the only thing is the middle back section off the roof sticks up a hair which ends up making the roof line look sraight. hope this helps, if you have any more?? just ask

it might take a couple of nights, wont hurt if u got a buddy that can help out. just a heads up, when ur done look on the back of the cage. the roof attatches to a couple of hangers that connect to the cross members behind the head of the rear passengers. once you attach the roof to those, loosen them from the rear cross member and pull down and in, so it snugs ur roof down in the back. good luck
