Default Doors

I have been thinking about doors. I like the ones that they have for a stock rhino, but i dont really like rhinos. Dont care for the fixed quater doors at all, my opinion. I have been looking for a set that can open with a latching mechanism, not fixed. Plastic would be ok, but light is the key. Does anyone have any ideas, or know a supplier that might have them in the works. Thought about making a set, but im going to be working on some skid plates in the near future, like tomorrow, maybe, that puck board hockey arena stuff. So i got some time.

You might want to put some holes in the bottom of your skid. eg where the drain plug is for ease of access. I put holes where the stock ones where on my brute. Not sure if you need to for heat as heat rises but the holes also help drain water and mud. I used some stock bolts with wide washers to hold it up but had to get a few longer bolts too. At the bolt holes, I cut small rectangular shaped slots the width of the bolt so I could move it around for a better fit then snugged the bolt and washer up to hold them in place. It worked good but a single hole would work better if you are perfect on your measurements.

After you have cut the skid out to match your cardboard template and if you need to do some bends, it easy to figure the bending and not melting point by practice heating and bending with a scrap piece. It bend easy with the plumbers style small blue bottle torch. I left mine in the vise till it cooled and it stayed in shape and has held up great over the last few years.

I would think you could built doors the same way. Template with cardboard, cut with a jig saw and and bend them with a little heat.

Edit How thick and what color of puck board did you get?

Post some pictures when you are done. Hope it goes well for you.
