Jeep TJ Rear Seat

So I bought a used 2002 Jeep TJ Rear Seat on eBay as it is 41" wide and fits perfectly in bed of my stock Teryx. Another reason for using the TJ Seat is I plan on being able to move it to my 1981 Toyota FJ40. 41" fits both perfectly.

It of course is made to fold and tumble. Unfortunately it did not come with mounting bases.

Has anybody on here seen a TJ Seat in a Teryx and how was it mounted?

Hey Rio, check this out on ebay..
jeep wrangler yj rear seat folding bracket and bolts : eBay Motors (item 110525101748 end time May-03-10 14:38:04 PDT)

I read on a rhino forum where they used the spacers from a 3" jeep lift kit to mount the hardware on to raise the seat up. You could probably get some 2" square channel (aluminum?) and just raise the hardware up off the bed a bit. Good luck and lets see some pics when you're done!

Scott.

I've got my seat mounted for awhile now. I fabbed up some brackets and bolted to a piece of angle iron which I then bolted through the bed of the Teryx. Haven't got any pictures at moment but will try to post some up later.

I saw a seat from an old scout I believe....in a rhino. It unlocked and folded up against the cab so you could use the bed(a portion of it). Pretty cool actually.

I'd like to see some pictures of this, I never use the back seat in my Jeep so that would be perfect.

geo tracker back seat

i used some hand rail mounts for 1 1/4 pipe. welded tabs to the top of the pipe to bolt to the seat. put the pipe in the mounts they use big allen heads to hold the pipe in place. the bottom of the hand rail mounts have 4 holes that i bolted to the bead. in 10 minites or less i can remove the seat.
