Default Montclair Kawasaki /Funco Teryx Race Report

4 for 4
We could'nt be happier with our Teams Performance since introducing the Teryx.

Chad has been absolutly stellar behind the wheel. Fast, smooth and consistent.

Chad Put the Montclair Kawasaki/Funco Teryx at the top of the Time charts in 4 out of 5 sessions .The exception was Fridays qualifying where Chad only ran one lap in the mud before being forced to pull off the track when we puked oil onto the exhaust. We have been fighting throwing oil out the breather and we tried a new configuration that did not pan out. So it goes when you test at the track .

In Saturdays Race from a fith place starting position Chad was able to take the lead on the second lap and ran a conservative race to his first victory of the weekend.

In Sundays qualifier which ran more like an 8 lap race then a qualifier. It became a Teryx shootout between Funco's Chad George and FST's Dan Kelley Chad was 5th out to Qualify with Dan going out last.As the FUNCO Teryx was finishing his first lap The FST car entered the track just a straightaway seperating them

They traded fast times for a couple laps while running nose to tail. On the 7th lap Chad was able to clear Dan and run the fastest lap by over 1 1/2 seconds in Lap 8.Dan Kelly 2nd and the Rhino of Robert Van Beekum third

Sundays main event was also turned into a shootout Teryx shootout. Knowing he had the speed to beat the competitors we agreed to a very conservative first couple laps. Once in second place Chad set after Dan which had pulled out to a 5 second lead. Chad then closed the gap over the next 4 laps to under 2 seconds . At the competition yellow Chad was poised for a 3 lap shootout before Dan was unfortunatly blacked flagged for a safety issue. That put Chad in the lead with the always ready to win van Beekum. On laps 8 and 9 Chad ran the fastest laps of the race and went on to his 2nd win of the weekend.

Earning 215 points on the weekend has vaulted Chad to second in points just 9 out of the lead

None of this would be possible without our Great sponsors.
