Teryx sport shock tuning
Just put on some teryx sport shocks on
On the teryx. But they ride like crap. Does anyone one know how to tune em? Or zero them out and go from there? And how to change em from a dirt tune to a sand tune? Thanks |

Owners manual says...factory setting is for driver 150lbs no passenger and no accessories rebound front and rear 1 turn out. Front compression 3.5 turns out rear 12 clicks out. So you might as well close rebound damping to get rid of buck . Good luck I've nearly worn out screws trying to tune mine in shocks suck extra grand for sport model was waste wish I had bought base and just added cup holder lol

My plan was to buy the base and add wheels, tires, shocks, and center console but I found a new 2011 Sport model for under $9k and couldn't resist. So now I'm going to try to make the best of what I've got. Don't know much about SxSs but the Works shocks on my ATV were the best money I've spent - probably will wind up that way on the Teryx.
Update - I finally got 60 mile test of the above settings and I think they helped a lot. The ride was softer on rough, rocky roads and better on washboard dirt roads. The front feels pretty good but the rear is still a little stiff with no weight in the bed. I suppose the wider rear tires are always going to hit more rocks and bumps and the sway bar doesn't help the ride either. Last edited by OverTheHill; 08-02-2012 at 09:55 AM. |
