Ricochet Skids review

Finally got the Teryx back together, got the clutch back from VFJ, and was able to get out and test the new skids. They did great, I crossed downed trees, ran over some saplings to make some new trails, slid across one tall stump, the skids worked fine.

I am going to have to trim the fronts where they stick forward to help with the floorboard issues. My 29" motoclaws like to drag on them when turning. I would rather bend them up so they still help protect the floorboards, but I couldn't manage that with the jack yesterday, they simply flexed then went back when I released the lift. May have to take them off and see if I can bend them on a machine at work. Not sure if I can, they are pretty thick...

Overall happy with the purchase, they perform well and don't require any drilling or tapping to install.
If anyone has tips on bending these thick aluminum pieces, I'm all ears..

Hey I'd like to hear more about these skids or have any pics? My stock skids have 500 miles and are total crap, had them off last night to beat them back to shape...16 grand amd these skids are shameful. Do you still like these skids?? Thanks

Just finished the install of my ricochet skids. I have nothing but good things to say when I opened them I was immediately impressed. The gauge of aluminum to the exact fit easily installed they didn't skip a beat. And the service over at traderhank.com was 5***** I have a few pics I even paid extra for the 1/4 UHMW I think will pay off quickly!

I just ordered the 1/2" UHMW skids from them last week, Patiently waiting their arrival. Glad to here all the positives about the aluminum ones. The 20% discount holiday coupon made the decision pretty easy. Merry Christmas to me from my awesome wife!

I too used the 20% Christmas Discount, but by phone -and was able to get a break on shipping (50%) by also ordering the extra UHMW layer and hardware at the same time. Eager to get them here to install - if it ever stops raining we will head to Ride Royal Blue to try them out!

Map gas and a crescent wrench...they bend right up. Never even hurt my anodizing. :pepper1:

Glad you guys like your setups.
