Ball joins are the same on the T4 as the 08'-11' Teryx's
to justify our price on our kits I can tell you that mild steel plate is under a dollar a pound and 4130 is over 3.50 a pound but we feel it is necessary to use 4130 in a thinner gauge material as apposed to a weaker mild steel in a thicker material. Our +5 arms are as light as the stock arms which helps in all kinds of performance from shock valving, bearing fatigue, pivot bushing issues etc.
as people have stated 4340 axles have been ok for most people but we feel that why chance something and just make it the best possible right out of the gate!

My Long Travel Industries kit for my new teryx 4 is hands down the best kit I have owned. I recommend the LTI kit

i know most of these kits are +5 but do these kits have longer top rear a-arms? when i was doing my cage chop, i was looking at how my T4 has that rear wheel taper thing going on and if the after market top rear a-arms are made longer 1" or 2" to solve this?

Is there anyway to ad a new upper rear a-arm about an inch longer without needing to put a longer axle?

I couldn't tell you....I told myself that I wasn't going to build my own kit for the T4 so there has been no need for me to take any measurements. The LTI kit handles great, building a new upper to change the camber wouldn't be worth the cost to do so, IMO.

yeah i hear you, and no doubt the LTI kit is awesome. my thinking was have someone fab me two longer upper rear arms, that's the reason i asked about the axles.

I want extra suspension travel, but I need to keep the width to a minimum for trail riding ...so what can I do? I love the LTI kit but theres no way in hell I can go 10" wider!

Who makes a kit that'll give me extra suspension travel but keeps the wider with to a minimum?

You have to go wider to gain the big travel numbers. The CVs can't go to much more of an angle then they do stock.

yeah I know Its better to go wider in order to gain suspension travel without stressing the CVs.
If I were desert & dune riding I wouldnt care at all but Im mostly a trail rider and width matters alot.

2" wider on each side might be OK (4" wider total), but how much suspension travel would that get me?

I wonder if I could get shocks that were 1" longer ...which could possible give me a couple extra inches travel with the stock A-arms (that'd be pushing the CV angle but maybe not too much).
Or maybe simply going with after market shocks with no extra travel would make a noticeable difference???
Customaudio likes this.

Stock travel is 7.8" front, 8.2" rear.

Most long travel kits net about 14" of travel.

I have one from LTI and my tires sit pretty true.
But if I soften it up for high speed rough terrain, then they will camber out slightly at the bottom

RacerTech is finishing up their +5 kit right now...they are then considering a +2 mid-travel kit...replacement arms, replacement axle shafts, keep the OEM shocks and replace the coils. I run their mid-travel on my RZR and have really liked it
