I have the 660 2 place set, works great!!!, spend the extra money for the 660
it has the VOX. I get no background noise. I also have a Yasau duel band radio which all is plug and play with the intercom, best money I spent.

can you pm me with some details and cost for the "660".

I'm just starting to look into what type of system to get.

I have a 2010 Teryx. I often ride with my wife. I have an Iphone/pod.

I would also like the keep the option to communicate car to car in the future, (though i'm not sure i can afford that option right now).

Well I received my 660 today from Rugged. Install was very easy. Hooked everything up and worked like a champ. Especially like the VOX and the music was very clear. Now that I know a little more I'd make some changes if I could do it all over.

First I'd buy/or order the over the head headsets and not the behind the head. The ones that came with my system are uncomfortable because the back brace hits the high back T4 seat making you lean forward a bit.

Second I would have ordered one replace cable (driver side). The cable I'd order would bethe 6' coil cable instead of the 12' straight cable. There is so much extra cable that has to be rolled up and tied out of the way. Coil cable would be perfect for driver side. The 12' is probably fine for the passenger side.

I'd also recommend that you spend the extra $50 and buy the double headset holder that connects to one of the overhead roof tubes. sure is convienent to hang your headsets on when getting out of your T4....

The 660 is quiet, vox works great and easy to install.

FRS Walkie Talkie

Just curious if anyone knows whether you can hook a walkie talkie up to a rugged radio over the road intercom unit?

Is there such thing as a 4 place? and if so what system works best with helmets? Can they be a mix and match? For example I typically wear an MX style helmet but my kids are still too small for that so they are wearing an open face "Ski style" helmet. Sometimes I wear open face as well depending on the weather and type of riding. What system should I look at? Thanks!

The answer is Yes! Any radio can be integrated with the intercom, the only question is whether we carry the specific jumper cable you'd need to connect handheld walkie talkie however, chances are that we have the cable necessary.
