Flag Location

Might be a silly question to some of you guys but here goes. At the dunes in Michigan we are required to mount a flag to the front of the machine. I'm thinking of getting a couple of Warn universal light mounts and mounting directly to the brush guard.

What are you guys doing....opinions?

I was gonna weld a tab to the stock front bumper 'til I got an aftermarket one..... you'd think they would come with a mount from the factory...

I wish i could go off the highest point but Michigan requires it to be on the front of the vehicle. The highest point on the front of the vehicle would be the factory brush guard. I'll have to toy with this a little.

Hello fellow Michigander,

The link sickness sent you was my initial design but after feedback from other dune riders, within that tread, I decided to raise it and not have it stick out as far. I didn't raise it up much but from the picture you will see I put it in a position that if a run into a dune/hill/bank that steep I am going to have more problems then just bending the bracket. It worked great when I was out there April first and I "buried" the front end more then what I wanted to.

I had some 3/16 steel brackets around that were already bent 90 degrees. What I did was drill out four holes to match the four holes that are on the stock bumper and bolt into place.

Welding a tab on the front bumper is strong option but I didnt want to take the chance of messing up my bumper. I decided to bolt something on instead.

That weird, seems like a whip swinging around up front would be a distraction to the driver. Good luck.
