Looking for some input.....my T4 has 170 easy miles on it, and after running for a spell, the low oil pressure light flashes at idle. Any amount of revs makes it go out, and it will only come on after it has been ridden (idling alone wont do it). Oil level is good, changed with Kawi full synthetic at 132 miles.

Anyone have any experience with this? Granted, it will go into the shop for warranty work, but I was curious if this is an isolated thing.....

Just installed a winch on my T-4 and just noticed the oil flasher blinking when I hit the on position but it went off when I started it at midnight last night. According to the manual it's supposed to flash when in the on position and not running, I dont remember it flashing in the on position while not running, do all T-4's do this ?? Going to run mine this weekend hope I dont get the flash, keep ya posted.

What weight oil

Using Kawasaki 10-40....figured that I would use Kawi fluids while it is under warranty.

Mine flashes when the key is turned on, before you start the motor, so I'd say yours is OK.

but not running.

According to the manual it is supposed to flash with the key on and not running. Mine goes off once the engine is started.

Mine does the same thing, I was thinking an overly sensitive oil pressure sensor might be the culprit.

Got it back from the shop friday....they diagnosed it as a faulty sending unit and use of synthetic oil. They replaced the sending unit, the one time I took it out, the problem didn't return. So, I bet it was more of the sending unit than my oil choice.

Mine does that same thing as well. If I ride and stop and let it idle it flashes sometimes, not always, as soon as i take back off it goes out and stops flashing. Oil level is fine.

Mine has been flashing constantly. Took it in today. We will see what happens. Oil is fine, it runs fine so idk. I'll post the diagnosis from the kaki dr.

The oil light flashes when the key is inserted and turned as a system check, like in vehicles.

Read the original post....he said it is flashing at idle, not just with the key on. I'm guessing the sensor will fix it. I don't see how syn oil would cause the issue, as long as it is the proper weight oil.

DId I read that right? Your using Kawasaki Synthetic oil and they partly blame your oil choice? Did your head spin when they said that? WTF.

I don't have a T4 but that would have really pissed me off. What oil did they suggest at that point... lol. I use Mobil1 Racing 4T 10w40.

My oil light flashes occasionally while running as well. 1k miles. Not really worried but I will be having the dealer check while in for the recall work if I ever find time to get it in the shop.
