I went to use my winch yest barely stuck and the winch stopped spooling in or out..The solenoid will click but that's all..anyone know what it could be I'm thinking the motor gave out..I'm pretty pissed since they claim they are one of the best and I spent good money on one then it gave out after barely ever using it...

Got it guys it wasn't the winch it was my wires I'm guessing while burning the motor up it burnt the wires at the ends and messing up the connections..at least that's my thoughts re did everything I now have a new motor thanks to Caleb with moto alliance and new solenoid I bought today and re wired everything and put extra protection around the wire end winch is working great

Not sure what to say at this point. We sell thousands of our VIPERS a year and we don't run into this kind of thing often, if at all. I'm sure Caleb will continue to help, but tough to say what the cause(s) of the issue is. I can think of one other case where the machine itself (it was an Outlander I think) was finally identified as causing consistent problems in the winch installation. But difficult to say and we certainly don't have patterns like this at all.

But like I said, we pride ourselves on good products and follow-up support, so I know Caleb will help.

I can't remember if it was an Outlander or Renegade. In that situation, the cables were installed too close to some part of the machine that got hot or something. The guy absolutely tore us apart on a forum. We sent him a brand new winch and the very same thing happened.

That's when the guys on the forum figured out with him that he was not routing cables in the proper spot.

With so many applications (we cover around 30-35 different models I think), it can get challenging to know what's going on in every situation. We'll keep helping though.
