Cant say I have ever been to Silver Lake but I have seen stock machines make it quite a few places in the southern CA sand dunes (Glamis, Buttercup and Gordons Well). A few simple bolt on parts will give you a little bit more power and speed. Full Dual Exhuast system, MSD and OD plate would be recommended to start with.

I've been there a few times, my avitar pic with the water is from there. There is a real good chance you will NOT get up test hill with a stock Teryx. Maybe if you had paddles but still doubting it. I would pick the easiest line first time up for sure. These are heavy and the second you hit sand they have about half the power you thought they did and you feel them go down. If the wind has the left side rolled out a bit you might have a chance. I'd say once you get to the top you'll roll the rest of them fine with proper momentum. Just don't slow down till you get to the top! I played in some courser stuff this last week with mine and I'm glad I still have my dirt bike for thrashing sand!

Just a tip, SL wants the flag mounted like a car so it has to be mounted off the front bumper. I'm hopefully taking the toys out to SL again this Sept, not planning on riding the Teryx much except for easy cruising and some video filming but it'll still be fun.

I learned that msd goes under driver seat and adds power and speed. You can get them from s2k1 just pm him.

If you try and don't make it you'r not a d--- bag, it's if you just sit and look at it then drive away without trying then someone might say d bag. Just go for it and keep it straight and if you don't make it don't dig in just put it in reverse and back straight down and get a longer run.

Shady is right and don't feel bad even if you dig in. Wind usually blows towards the side you're climbing so that super soft powder at the top can easily catch you off guard. No biggie, it's not that steep to where you'd be in any danger.

You Cali guys are gonna laugh at this. This is test hill at SL. The wind blowing that soft ass powder over the top is what will catch a guy, it's not all that steep. You'd be surprised what gets stuck.
