Is this cap having the same issues on the 2009 models? I am guessing it would if it turns out to be a speed limiter or rev limiter.

I read that the over drive cap doesn't work on the 2009 models I am guessing that this cap won't either. Have you done any testing on the 2009 models with the cap yet?

Does the KEBC (engine brake ) need to be disconnected with this cap?, I have seen other posts that it would have to be disabled on after market OD caps.

I have the machined UTV Crap cap and KEBC still works fine. You can still unplug KEBC if you want.
The Dalton cap will not work with KEBC the way it is made.

To explain how it works is like shifting your car into 5th gear (overdrive). It drops the RPM's (don't know for sure how many RPM's but noticeable) once you get above about 45mph and allows you to to get 4-6mph more.
It works great with or with out a new clutch kit on the 08 Teryx. You will need to check your belt tension, or replace your belt to get full benefit.

Blurryvision Thanks for the very complete answers. I will be adding that to the top of my" UTV CRAP "to order list.

I think that is because there is a speed sensor for 09 vs rev limiter on 08?? , this is just what I found also. I am going to look for this sensor this week on an 09.
