Will an 8" rim work?
I know the Teryx comes with 10" rims in the back and 8" up front from the factory. What I am wondering is if I can put an 8" rim/paddle combo on the back of the Teryx for the dunes.
I will NOT be putting buffs up front, just airing down and going for it. I broke the bank doing the 4-seat conversion, etc... so I can't really afford a set of Skat-Traks right now or I'd just go that route.
I want to know if it will fit over the rear brake and not look too goofy. This is obviously NOT a permanent solution, just a temporary fix so I don't dig everywhere I go, and I might actually be able to go up a hill or two.
Let me know if it'll work. Thanks!

No, they're 10" round, not wide.
I want to know if I can put an 8" round on the back.
Anyone else?

I don't think so. Not unless they had huge offset!

Will an 8" rim clear the brake or not? That's all I need to know.

It doesn't have a brake on the rear hubs, it is built into the input side of the rear final drive unit. It has a sealed hydraulic wet clutch brake.
The rear upright assy is about 8" tall itself. No, an 8" diamter wheel will not work.
By the way, it comes with 12" diamter whels, not 10".

According to Kawasaki specs, it says the following:
Maxxis 26x10-12
So, the 12 must be the diameter of the rim, and the 26 is circumference which means the 10 is width, right?

I did not think you would have agreed with that about the wheels, but some idiot might have thought it to be true! LOL

LOL, well we all know a 12" tire fits a 12" rim, so the terms are the same. The other numbers are width and circumference of the TIRE. Gotcha.

8"
Most 8 incnch wheels will not clear the a-arms but if you have large offset or a big wheel sapcer you can make them work. If you are looking to do any kind of long travel in the future 8's will not work.
